EQ8 hand set question

I bought the EQ8 originally for a side-by-side dual imaging set up, but was put off as it would have meant having to mechanically  re-attach the puck at 90 degrees to the home position. This in turn means you can not get at the RA clutch and have to get some sort of custom extension bar made. 

I am now told that there is a new upgrade for the hand set which allows you to re-set the home position by 90 degrees electronically, thus leaving free access to the RA clutch.

My handset is version V  3.33.

My questions are 1) Which version do I need to up grade to ?

                    and, 2) Has anyone used the new version to reset the home position for a  side-by-side dual rig, and if so. are there any problems or Bugs etc.
