I have just taken delivery of a replacement unit as my first did not work, to have exactly the same issue with the replacment

Oh dear, that is less than ideal - I had a good look after reading your first post, not realising that you had followed it up - perhaps I'll wait for AAG to sort themselves out before I even consider it. Mind you, I haven't committed to the Cloudwatcher unit yet!

Steve the cloud Watcher is great, if your dome is automated its a nice final piece for the puzzle and the weather sensing doem close is very reasuring to have.

Thanks for that, Earl, I think 'a nice final piece for the puzzle' sums this up well - although it could be a vital tool if the worst happens and it rains!! It is certainly high on my list of things to consider and it's good to hear another voice confirming that the basic unti is good.
