Cartes du ciel controlling the AZ-EQ6

Hi.

Is it possible to control the AZ-EQ6 via it's handcontrol with Cartes du ciel without going through EQMODE and EQASCOM? If so, how do I setup the CdC?

It should be possible. Download and install the Ascom platform and the Ascom Celestron mount drivers. When you configure the mount in CdC select Nexstar 5 as the mount and remember to select either EQ or Alt Az depending on how you have set up the mount. You will also need to know the comm port number assigned to the USB / serial adapter if your computer doesn't have a proper serial port.

Why do you want to do it without eqascom and eqmod? It's a fantastic piece of software and a doddle to use. I'm not criticising, just asking
