Solar eclipse March 20th

I've got a pair of Canon 15x50 IS binos, are there any premade solar filters for this device?

There seems to be a thread at the front, I assume it 's 58mm.

Not sure if this is a good idea anyway, I'm quite anxious looking at the sun directly, even

with filters. Is that safe?

Sven I am aware that Telescope House sell these - http://www.telescopehouse.com/acatalog/Orion-Safety-Film-Solar-Filter-with-2.32-inch-Internal-Dia.html#a07784 - because Orion is a good manufacturer of astro gear these will be safe if used as per instruction leaflet.

I imagine they will delivery to Germany.

Hello! Or, you can buy a sheet of Baader AstroSolar Safety Film and make your own filter cells. A pretty easy DIY job and you'll have enough safety film to make a filter for a small telescope, camera lens or perhaps a few spare filters for your binos.
