What a difference a night makes

Started off clear but not for long.

Just to show that this imaging lark is not all beer and skittles, take a look at this abomination from tonight.

By the time I finished this, the only thing visible was Arcturus as everything else had dissolved as though someone had drawn a veil across the sky.

After my successes of the previous night, a case of hubris followed by nemesis. God I love this country!

How many frames are you stacking?

I've ditched it already, but I think about 650 frames in total, but not that many in the final mix.

Things looked quite promising early on but that means nothing of course. Not the first time that has happened recently. Really clear skies to start the evening, but by the time Saturn hauls itself to a reasonable position .......

We all know what happens then.

I took 9000 frames and stacked about 3000 still came out Rubbish though, got another 20gb of data to go through tomorrow.
