To follow on directly from this thread and as mentioned within this thread re the upcoming partial eclipse, I purchased an eye piece solar filter, not for use (!!!) but with the express intention of reminding everyone to further remind any friends and family of the dangers.

I will be passing this one on to Stephen Tonkin who is far better suited than me to furthering the message
