Lovejoy on 18th Jan, wide field and close up

Here are a couple of images of Comet Lovejoy. The wide angle is taken with a 200mm lens on a Nikon D5200 DSLR, 5  x 30 sec subs. Light pollution gave bad gradients stopping me getting more tail detail.

The close up image was with the Nikon at prive focus on a C14. Again 5 x 30 sec subs.

excellent views, the wide fields have got the edge due to the length of tail I think.
