12th January Comet Lovejoy - animation, image

Hello All 

Managed to have a quick go at the Lovejoy on 12th January.

Took 14 90seconds frames, tracking on stars, with bad seeing and poorly calibrated scope. Level of background is quite high, which is probably due to light pollution and the UV-IR cut filter used. Should have got with the L filter.

Equipment used: OO 12" F4, QSI583WSG, QHY5 (guide cam), Pixinsight, Gimp

Stack of all frames.

Animation - 10 frames, each frame is a stack of four frames (1-2-3-4, 2-3-4-5, 3-4-5-6,...), helped with getting better tail data. There is only around half hour of data in it, but it is possible to see some change in the tail.

Really want to do a longer version, 3-4 hours should give a good view of how the jets move.

Wondering if it would be possible to do a 3D model of the tail from longer animations/more data collected.
