CS2 or Adobe elements5 ?

As it says, actually. which one is good for what? are they both equally good? any thoughts?

Photoshop is/was designed primarily for those who work professionally in design/high quility imaging.

Elements was first introduced as a very much stripped down version of photoshop although Elements 5 is a powerful tool in its own right and for basic editing will do a perfectly good job and is probably more user friendly.

Basically Photoshop does everything that there is possible to do to an image whereas elements doesn't but what elements does do is usually more than enough for most people.And at around £40 or so is much cheaper than CS2.

so, in other words, Photoshop is more capable of, than elements, but elements is simpler? and if you are willing to fiddle a lot, the photoshop is better? is that correct? :?
