Our wonderful moon

I've just spent a couple of hours or so with our near neighbour, stunning to-night.

Over the period I have been observing its been really interesting to watch the changes along the terminator, especially watching the Alpine Valley creep into view.

Have got really hooked on the moon and have made some more progress with the Lunar 100, now up to 53 items sited.

Back out now but the moon has disappeared behind my house so will have a scan around Auriga and Gemini later.

100% agree Alan,watching it myself now in the remaining daylight. Spectacular. My little Baader single polarizer works very well in daylight, both for the moon and planets. Unbelievable detail and structure showing.
