Skywatcher 200 flextube dew light sheild

I'm neededing a tube extender as the secondary is catching the street lighting in my backgarden I've been looking at the celestron c6/8 dew shield I know people said use a camping mat but I had disastrous results of it collapsing on my 10 inch dob when I had one would the celestron one fit or is there another one made for it

Hi there, I use the Celestron C6/8 dew shield on my 200P, but in another thread it was said that the person ordered one for their similar scope and it didn't fit, can't understand that as I thought all the 200P's OTA's were the same basic barrels apart from the f/5 and f/6 versions (length, not barrel width), so not sure why this is.

Rwilkey have you got a tape measure and van you measure the diameter of the tube for me then the c6/8 dew sheild to the velcro tapes

Hi David, sorry for the delay in my reply, however, just measured it as follows:

circumference of outer ring of telescope 29.5" (749mm)

shield, to centre of each velcro strip: 30.5" (774mm)
