orion atlas problem

hi...i have an orion atlas...i connected the mount with a 12volt adapter i turn it on and when i pushed a button from the controller i heard a noise like something was burning and then smoke went out from the mount...i thought that the board have blown out but when i connect it again with a different adapter it turned on normally and do all the go-to's in different targets...at your opinion i must change the main board of the mount?? thank you
