milkyjoe
Hi Rich.If it ever stops raining I might be able to test out the camera. I am wondering about a prime lens now, the 22mm kit lens is supposed to be very good, but what about tamron/sigma lenses, which one's do I need to buy? RichM63
^ I honestly don't know, I'm just a beginner myself.I bought the Sigma because, 1 I used to sell them a long time ago as a teenager, 2, reviews said it was heavy, solid, and has a metal connection plate, thus people didn't want them, 3, for the price optical quality was reported as decent, 4, has a reasonable Macro function. So far I'm delighted with it.Picked up a new prime 50mm 1.8 mk2 on Thursday for £60, took a few snaps down on the beach yesterday, but still in the camera.I'm not remotely qualified to recommend lenses, my BIL who is, advised me towards all 3 brands, Canon, Sigma, Tamron. Check out S/H lenses on Ffordes, I had great service from them and they are good on the phone.
