H-alpha viewing of flare and seeing start of CME?

I've subscribed to one of the online email alert services for solar flares. Luckily I was at home when one cracked off a little while ago, so I broke out the PST for a quick look.

I could quite easily see the flare beside that large convoluted spot that's there at the moment.

However, when I was tuning the view, I noted a dark streamer heavily blueshifted coming from the flare source. I could follow that dark streamer across the disk for quite a turn of the tuning ring, right through until I could no longer see any prominences - looked like a white-light view except for this dark streak.

Tl;dr is don't be afraid to tune well outside the sweet spot with H-alpha scopes, as you may get to see really fast moving stuff.

What was interesting this time for this particular feature is that it was still visible when I was tuning to the end of the available rotation on my PST. Moving really really fast towards us!
