my new telescope has arrived a lot bigger than i thought.polar alignment a bit over whelming .for looking at moon with 24mm seems very cloe up ,should i get a focal reducer as i bought for some astrophotography ,any ideas would be great

The 9.25" excels at lunar and planetary imaging for which you generally need pretty high magnifications. If you are planning DSO imaging then I think that the experts will say that it isn't  the best choice of telescope due to its long focal length and that something along the lines of a quality 80mm refractor would be preferable. One of each would cover most bases.  :smiley:
