I have my scope mounted on a Astroengineering pier, courtesy of an adapter plate created by Astrotec Limited and my neighbour has made a wooden dowl so that I can fit the handset on one of the fins of the pier. I am debating exactly where to put it and wonder which leg of the tripod most people use in relation to say the Home position?
