October 4, 2014: Spotted a flare this morning

Had both a look and an imaging session this morning. Managed to catch a brief eruption just south of the big sunspot west of centre. Some really nice proms on the western limb too. I will process the shots later.

Just got a quick break in the clouds and there are 2 lovely proms either side of the of the 9 O'clock position, one of them is hugging the surface (Luke the caterpillar style) but vey long and dense, the other forming a very big pyramid shape also very dense.

There is also a lovely arc developing in the 6 O'clock position very nice indeed. There is also an abundance of surface detail with plenty of differing oranges and browns.

It looks like the cloud will clear and leave the forecasted cloud free evening but I think the sun will have dropped behind the rooftops by then
