Triple images in diagonal

My older diagonal I have has started showing triple images. I also noticed that the mirror inside feels a bit loose when I am moving. I can hear something loose in there. The only thing it can be is the mirror is loose.

I guess there could well be a connection between the loose item in the diagonal and the triple images. Does your diagonal actually use a mirror ?. Some of them use a prism, which could also cause problems if it becomes loose.

This older one it looks like a mirror .. I actually wouldn't know for sure if it's a prism or a mirror

I could understand 2 images, rear surfaced mirror would give that, but not sure where 3 would come from.
