Street Lighting Reduction

Heard on our local radio today that Highland Council are looking into various ways of reducing its carbon footprint, the one that interested me was that they are thinking of reducing the street light emmissions by 50% after a certain time at night and are looking at what would be the most cost effective way of having everything on different timers etc.

I'm not holding my breath, but i suppose the fact they are looking into it is a step in the right direction. :thumbright:

Anyone else's councils got plans for something similar?

not that I would of course, but some kind of high powered rifle would be in order

Odd how that particular type of "magnet" always seems to get a mention :)

but by stripping down an old HDD you'll get two REALLY strong rare earth magnets.

I was thinking of one of these, just short of 12Kg pull !!
