Filter doesn't fit!?

Just got myself a second hand Astronomik 6nm Ha filter, CCD 1.25" and it's the same size as the others I have (12nm, ha SI OIII) however it won't screw into my filter wheel? (QSI 583wsg). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dodgy threads? One of my filters has trouble going into one of my eyepieces, I kind of have to keep turning it and moving it a bit until the threads engage properly.

Fixed it, thank you.

The new one had no 'teeth' along the top to help me screw it in so I just screwed the 12nm into the 6nm, screwed it lightly into the filter wheel then undid the 12 from the 6. A bit of a faff but hopefully that's that now.

I wonder what would happen if I left the 12 on top of the 6? No difference? Hmmm

Probably a darker image as they don't transmit 100% of the light they are meant too.
