An evening of back ayes viewing and a mixed bag of sightings

The sky was clear, but not overly transparent. A hint of the Milky Way but nothing spectacular. All in all, a fun night with a few new gems and some old favourites using the 10" Lightbridge. The notable highlights were:

Several meteors

Comet Jacques.

NGC6934

Blue snowball nebula (highlight of the night)

M103

M33 ( always a challenge from my back yard)

M34

NGC663

Double cluster (NGC869/884)

Uranus, but sadly no Neptune on this occasion

Happy days indeed. Wanted to wait up for M1, but it takes too long to clear my neighbours house. Give it a few weeks and it should be an earlier target.

Dave.

Good night. If you like the Blue Snowball, which I do very much, its likely you will also like the Cats Eye Nebula very much also. I do. I find it intriguing with the colour and the beautiful central star. Beautiful, beautiful object.
