sc6 hue/saturation

Hi out there. I am trying to play about with some images in sc6 but the hue/saturation is not availiable. If you click on adjustments and look at the panel the middle section, ie vibrance/hue/b&w etc is greyed out . Is it a plug in or have I a problem ? any thoughts     Jay

go to image -mode-click rgb colour
