cygnus widefields from Kielder

Was on a biking / kayaking / familly holiday at Kielder a week ago and had one clear(ish) night, so decided to pop out with my camera and tripod and take a few snaps. Still very very rough with processing and I am sure there is loads more I can do with the images, so will continue to perserver with gimp and play about with different stuff. Might also try restacking them in DSS using different options too and see what difference it makes.

But still very pleased with what can be captured in so short a time.

camera: samsung nx100, 50mm F1.7 pentax lens

14 x 10sec exposures at iso800

8 x darks

10 x dark bias

camera: samsung nx100, kit lens at 20mm F4

5 x darks

10 x dark bias

and took a few of Lyra, but for some reason its come out very dark even with no processing in gimp or touching any levels etc in DSS. not sure why.

incredible amount of stars for such short exposures!
