rgb alignment question

Hi folks:

Could someone kindly offer me some pointers on this?  I'm new to mono planetary imaging.  So far I can get the red, green, blue greyscale images into a new rgb channel file. The step prior to this is kind of puzzling to me.  How do I align and stack the three greyscale images so they will merge properly in the rgb image?
