Just had an hour on the Sun very quit at firs,t a prom at five o clock sun spot in the centre and several filaments.

Then a loop started to form at eleven o clock and just kept growing a lovely sight first time I have seen one forming

like that, still quite new to this Ha viewing.

Just had a quick look, and there is a massive pair of proms high on the western limb (10-11 o'clock in the LS35) with a smaller one to the north of it, another good one is on the eastern limb. Several filaments crisscross the disk, and northwest of centre there is a sunspot surrounded by swirls that almost looks like a weird sunflower. Very nice to see between the patches of haze and cloud.

Have to agree about the sun spot it did seem to have a three d effect, your analogy of it looking

like a sunflower is spot on. unfortunately the clouds rolled in here and I did

not get out again.
