Lifting a Skyliner 200p

Hi, apologies as this may be a bit of a daft question !

Being new to telescope ownership I was wondering if when the OTA is secured onto the Dobsonian base, if it was ok to lift the entire assembly from the two tensioning handles on either side ? The weight is not a problem as it lives only 10 feet from where i view but i wasn't sure about potentially damaging the screwed threads. Do other 8" Dobsonian owners move their scopes like this or do they always separate the two when moving regardless of distance.

I move my 10" version like that so I guess that the 8" would be fine.

Just make sure the handles are done up , lots of leverage on the threads otherwise

Thats great cheers guys, just didn't want to be making a newbie mistake and then paying for it 6 months later.
