Permanent wiring (240V power + RCD, 12V power, 3 x USB) has now been fitted to the outside (widefield) pier. Dug a little trench and pulled the cabling through some 60mm flexible conduit.

No more trailing extension leads dripping with dew to deal with at the end of the night!

Great setup and what great scenery

Thanks- just need to get the weather to co-operate now. It was tantalizingly 'almost' clear this weekend - but very marginal for any serious imaging work.

We've had a lot of hazy night skies lately

Now added some scopes to complete the outside Widefield Rig.

A TS Optics 6" F4/F2.9 Imaging Newtonian with an Altair Astro Starwave ED80 on top. Either scope can be used to guide or image.

Notice how the top scope is offset to help balance a DSLR on the Newtonian.

Early results with this rig/location are looking promising.....M42 a 180s (unguided) single sub.

Now looking forward to some clear winter skies!!
