nytecam
Hi - today I piggybacked an old Meade DS-2114s OTA onto my Meade 30cm LX200 SCT for some wider field DSO shots. The little OTA has a 114mm f/4 mirror eg modified Newt - the coloured inset shows the relative fov in yellow compared to my e-finder [blue] and main scope [pink] using SX Lodestar mono and OSC cameras and now awaits some clear skies to test it The OTA's supported on a single aluminium channel section bolted to the LX200 tube and held in place with the clamp from its old alt-az mount. More balance counterweights added beneath the LX200 but hidden in pics. My back garden DIY obsy built for the LX200 15 yrs ago and best investment I've made
