Crazy thought?

Recommended Posts

.... The ramblings of a crazed mind perhaps, but I was wondering today whether it would be feasible to use a scope scope as the TV85 on a parallelogram binocular mount?

You could use the scope straight through, without a diagonal for maximum quality, and with widefield eyepieces it would possibly be quite relaxing to sit or lie down and pan about the sky.

How stable are these mounts? Would this be madness or possible?

Cheers,

Stu

Sounds good not crazy, you could even use a binoviewer in the straight through configuration if you fancied it.

I've not used a p mount as yet but I see pics of them carrying quite large binoculars so I reckon they must be reasonably stable if we'll balanced.
