I 'm sure that we're all blown away with M11, the "Wild duck" open cluster. I caught several doubles in the area.STF 2303 at 18h20.1m. -07 59' at x266 split the 1.6" to show a tight bright binary with a quite delicate companion.STF 2313 at 18h24.7m. -06 36' at x218, a yellow/ white at 5.9".STF 2325 at x66 showed a good contrast of the companion at 12.3". At 18h31.4m. -10 48'.STF 2373 caught at x50 a stunning bright pair at 18h45.9m. -10 30'. STF 2391 and h VI 50 are in the same field at x50 . The pairs make up a parallel double double , with different separations and brightness. These are on one side of M11.From nowhere a wind blew up bringing in a glowing orange sky and a retreat, hoping for Clear skies !Nick. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
