Hi all,

Are Bresser GEM-EQ mounts any good? I have seen one on 'AstroBoot' http://www.astroboot.co.uk/AstroBoot - It is just the mount, (counterweight, drive motor & tripod are not included). Would it be OK for webcam astro-photography (lunar, solar & planetary)?

It would, if you could source the replacement parts and an ra drive (the mount I think has ra drive only). It also depends on which telescope you intend to use it with. The mount is also known as an Astro 3 which I believe to be somewhere between an Eq2 and Eq3-3so the payload won't be great.
