Canon 350d with Neb3 and APT no connection, Win XP

Hi,

I bought a used 350D from Ebay and did a successful CFA removal, so now I have a true Mono DSLR and it is working well on its own but I can not get it to cennect to either Neb3 or APT under Win XP or Win 7 64. I have downloaded WIA 560. EXE driver package from Canon USA site ( couldn't find anything on Canon Europe ) and Eos Utility does connect up with a USB cable although the shutter does not work under Bulb, I have ordered the USB release cable, but I would have thought  that I should atleast get the capture software  to recognise the camera so if any of you gentlemen or ladies have any bright ideas, I am all ears.

Just take a look in the main screen. If it reports 2.50" then it is the right version, if it is just 2.50 then the edition is for Digic 3+ cameras...
