June 14, 2014: Lovely detached prom this evening

Finally managed to get the LS36 out, and got some lovely views of the sun. Loads of proms visible, both east and west, but a detached prom quite a way from the north-western limb was probably the most striking. Great detail on the surface too.One AR north and a touch west of centre seems to be growing quite dramatically compared to yesterday.

No chance to shoot any images, but curious how things will look tomorrow morning.

I had a 30 minute spell earlier today Michael and there was some lovely views, the detached prom is still quite large and is mysteriously hanging on in there   it has started to clear again now but unfortunately the sun is a little low for me after 8 O'clock.

The forecast looks good for tonight and for some early morning sun
