Labtec webcam

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has used a labtec webcam before, got one from the cash converters for £2 but have not had weather to check it out yet so dont know what it will be like....Thanks Geoff

I have a very old one that I took apart and turned into an IR camera, which is rather neat (basically you remove the IR filter and replace it with a piece of black photographic negative).  I think it's not likely to be any good for astro use though.

There is more than one model however, so yours might well not be the same one.

Thanks james. No harm in giving it a go for £2. I have used it as a webcam (because it's still cloudy) and the quality of it is very good. Will remove the filter and see what it does.....Geoff
