NGC5985/82/81-L, a work in progress

Hi all,

From last night ( 25/5/14).

I shot 44 subs between 10:00pm and 04:00am but only found 27 usable subs due to the sky being not dark enough at this time of year.

Shot through my 10" newt and ,SXVFH9 , CLS and L filters.

27 @ 450 seconds.

More luminance is needed to bring up the background galaxies and clean up the detail, then RGB.

Thanks for looking.

Mike.

Really good start Mike, the composition and framing are excellent - this is going to be a real winner once you have RGB+L all together. I know exactly what you mean about getting broadband data this time of the year - I started last night at 11.30pm and ran through till 3.00am and had some of the same issues as you. Annoyingly the weather forecast looks dismal the next week, typical just when the Moon is down. Maybe it's my laptop screen but some of the larger stars in top left area appear to have a little tear-drop forming at the bottom of the star?
