My first attempt at all sky

DFK31AU03.AS camera with 2.1mm f1.2 lens 30sec exposures. BMP files Captured with FireCapture and made into a video with virtual dub.

Very good James, I like it. Do you really need 30sec exposures though? or was that just convenience to reduce file sizes?

Actual I can't remember if I used 20 or 30 sec exposures (I'll need to check the time stamp on each frame).

I did try some experiments with 10sec frames and only a few stars were visible. As it was I had to increase the contrast of the video in VirtualDub to help make more stars visible.

As I had over 500 frames the final AVI was still over 1GB, if I had used shorter exposures the avi would have been a bit bigger than I would have liked.
