MARC B
Hi I am very new to Astronomy and I need an answer to a question. I have a phillips planispere which I got second hand and I wanted to know if you can use them forever. I noticed the planetary table on the back starts from 2005 and stops at 2014. bingevader
The table for the planets might be slightly out of whack after next year, but the stars will be in the same place, for a bit anyway.
ronin
The main front bit yes, the rear data on planets no.
MARC B
Cool thanks for your help. I got a phillips astro box for 0.01p from amazon so I cant complain really. The rest of the books etc are definitely worth the 1p even if I do have to get a new planisphere fairly soon, thanks
bingevader
Sorry, I was joking! The stars aren't going anywhere soon, your planisphere's usefulness will out live you, it's just the planety bit that will be out. You don't need a new one.
