Strange Dark Rejection Pixels On Canon 650D

After integrating some ISO 800 darks in PI, I found a funny pattern on the "Rejection High" images which looks a bit like the auto focus sensor shape. Doesn't seem to affect the image at all but found it quite strange. Anybody know what it is or if they have seen similar?

Lens cap was on when taking the darks and the camera was in a camera bag so can't be light leak...

Yep, most probably is that.

I forgot that they had changed the sensor on the 650D to be hybrid to allow auto-focus in movie mode prior to the "dual pixel" sensor technology of the 700D...
