Celestron 120 xlt ?

Hi

I am looking for a scope for planets and double stars, viewing only, around the £350 - £400 mark. Has anyone got experience of the Celestron 120 xlt or recommend a long focal length scope ?

I had this refractor and it's nice for what it is but found the CA distracting on Mars and Jupiter in partic. stars were slightly more pinpoint than in a newt but other than this my 12" newtonian was better on everything. I got pinpoint stars by masking off the newtonian.

I'd suggest you try one first as I never used it again after buying the 12" dob. personally, I'd try an aperture mask with your scope first to see if it improves double star observing. your planetary obs will be better with your current scope.
