cleaning a maksutov-cassegrain

My skymax127 front lens is very dirty and its affecting both visual and imaging work is it safe for me to clean it with camera lens cleaner or is there a special cleaner I should use .

Whenever i have cleaned the front corrector glass, i have used Baader wonder fluid, make sure its free of any grit particles, another cleaner is methylated spirits in moderation, if you have to remove the glass make a tape marker on both glass and OTA tube to make sure you put it back in same position

Its pretty safe as long as you take care. Have a read of some online articles and you will be fine. No rubbing and spit works well for stubborn marks.
