HEQ5 with Tal 1 ?

Hi,

I am currently using a 110mm Tal 1 for visual observations, thinking of moving up to astrophotography.

Would I be able to use the Tal on an HEQ5 mount ?

Long term goal is to get a 80mm refractor and autoguider for DSO but I want to dip my toes in the water first and try planetary imaging with the Tal.

What do you think ?

I don't see why not. The mount should take the Tal reflector quiet comfortably.

Hi.

Skywatcher do a set for a 140mm tube, which should be a good fit. I have a set that lets me use my Tal 1 tube on my other mounts. I had to put a layer of self adhesive velcro(the furry side, not the hooks) on the inside of my rings, as nine were somewhat oversized.
