Astro Darkness ???

Recommended Posts

May, June and July I find it is a case of take advantage of any dark (semidark) skies if you can, but do not realistically expect to get much observing in.

As BST is in operation it means that 1:00 is really midnight UTC and there is little real darkness at times that mean either getting out of a warm bed or staying up into the early hours of the morning.

Will say that if I have a good nap in the afternoon then heading out at about 10:00 to a reasonable site and getting set up means a few decent hours and comfortable temperatures.

Reading this is really quite depressing. Ive only had my scope for a few months and the weather means it has been barely used.

I was looking forward to the Summer, nice warm nights sat outside, I never gave it a thought that it might not even get dark enough!

I suppose in Kent means I'm better off than some in the UK.
