Firstlight images on NEQ6

Last night was just clear enough to give my new EQ6 a shot and even though the moon was horrendous, it was only to try to get some light one the sensor to check guiding and polar alignment.

So here's a (nother) shot of M42 and a shot of needle galaxy (in Gemini I think) taken last night during the full moon !! 3 dark and 3 lights - 3 mins each

The gravel background on the needle image, I blame on the moon and the fact it's only 11mins of data with three darks (hence the dust bunnies)

Suffice to say I'm happy with the tracking and guiding and my polar is less than 1/2 minute out so the guide graph was quite flat.
