Making every photon count-Editions

How do you tell what edition it is. Someone has one for sale and he says it 2011 edition.

Apparently is doesn't say 1st, 2nd, 3rd edition...

How can you tell?

Page 1 has the year of the edition. For example, I have a 2014 copy.

OK so I found this..."First published in 2009, revised and updated in 2011 and again in 2014"

Must be 2nd edition then. Just didn't want the first edition.

The second edition (published 2011) has 'Second Edition' under the title on the cover likewise, the third edition (published 2014) has 'Third Edition' under the title on the cover

What are the differences between First edition (which I have, as I bought back in 2010) and the Second / Third editions?

The differences are not huge - I would not suggest that purchasers of the first edition should 'upgrade' to subsequent editions.<br />

I like to keep the book fresh by updating equipment images where appropriate and adding new content in the light of my own experiences as I continue my own journey in astro-photography.<br />

<br />

For example, the third edition includes information on the Polarie and Astrotrac portable mounts, focusing advice for DSLR users and an updated balancing routine for side by side bars.<br />

<br />

Worthwhile but not earth-shattering updates but my approach keeps the book up to date and ahead of the 'competition', most of whom are stuck several years in the past!!!<br />
