First shooting star (and Mars)

Just seen Mars and then as I was looking at Ursa Major I caught a shooting star through Bootes. Was moving left to right (north to south) at 22:49 uk time. Only glimpsed for about a tenth of a second but was really something.

Oh, and Mars was great too!

Yes Mars is good at the moment, I missed Lunar X tonight cos I was to busy looking at Mars didn't know if I'd get any surface detail through my scope till tonight.

I was out looking for M82 in UMajor Tuesday evening at about that time and saw 2 shooting stars before the Moon got up high. Didn't find M82
