Hi, I am thinking of upgrading my skywatcher star diagonal. The one I have at the moment is the one that came with my 127 makcass. Any ideas of some recommendations would be great.  Pete

The William Optics 1.25" dielectric diagonal is nicely made and very popular:

The optical performance difference delivered by a diagonal upgrade is more subtle than earth shattering but the William Optics unit is very well made and finished.

I had a 2 inch SW diagonal that came with the 180mm Maksutov, having looked at it for a few moments I can't believe it will be in the same league as the Williams Optic diagonal. I would think it would take the optimum in conditions, scope and eyes to tell WO from my Televues.

I used a friends WO carbon fiber diagonal about a year ago and thought it was a very fine piece of kit.
