Out of Focus Jupiter

I had another go at imaging Jupiter with the Phillips SPC Webcam (manually tracking, Skyliner 200P). On the whole it was OK but I couldn't Focus on Jupiter because the draw tube wouldn't go in far enough. Next time I'll experiment with my refractor but is their any way to get around this problem when using the Dob?

Have you got both the 2" and 1-1/4" adapters in the focuser , this is the usual problem , the larger one needs removing to allow focus if you can't get in far enough.

I only had the 1.25 inch adaptor in. Unusually When I last tried this (with my Mum's Laptop and an older version of SharpCap) the focusing was fine.
