SCT Desiccant Tube

Hi guys

Quick addition, i'll let you guys decide whether its a good idea or not

Because i have a Hyperstar for my C9.25 the camera sits at the corrector plate end of the OTA & i no longer use the SCT Adaptor. My QHY8L has a Desiccant Tube to help dry the camera out and because there is nothing at the primary mirror end of the scope i thought why not use the SCT adaptor and make a SCT Desiccant Tube to aid in dew  & moisture control.

I bought some microfine cloth used for filtering water and secured it to the end of the SCT Adaptor and then placed cotton wool inside, filled it with Desiccant and capped it.

I'd be interested in hearing opinions

Looks like a good bit of DIY, i wonder if there might suck up more moisture if the tube were half empty give the gels more area to work, i use a FLO type and those gels certainly get it dry in the tube.....

I just filled it, i didn't realise that they needed any room. Cheers
