ollypenrice
This is a great telescope but the price is usually a little less than that on the used market. I paid around 4000 euros for mine, as did one of our guests for a different one. These instruments are not well known in the UK but are first class apos and are great for visual or imaging use. Anything larger than about 15mm square will need the TEC flattener, though. If you have this you can have a flat, well illuminated field the size of a football pitch - and a further chunk out of your wallet!Typical TEC result: http://ollypenrice.smugmug.com/Other/Best-of-Les-Granges/i-RPwBkSM/0/O/M42%20TEC140%20LRGB%20N%20up%20web.jpgGo on, buy it!!! llyPS It also controlled Alnitak in 15 minute subs. The star had virtually no special processing here. (Honest!)
ChrisLX200
I was always curious how one goes about buying such an item from outside the UK, it seems a lot of money to send a long way on the expectation of receiving something in the post...ChrisH
