First Mars view of the year

Tonight I caught my first glimpse of Mars. Even with the naked eye, what a stunning sight. It's so much brighter and more red than I thought it would be! Even through my Travelscope, made for great viewing, can't wait to get the 925 on it when we get a clear night :-)

I'm happy that you were able to get your first glimpse of the planet Mars.  I have yet to have a very detailed view and to this date, have not seen the ice caps.  Clear skies!

Same here Isabele, never managed to get any detail from this challenging little planet. Just ordered a new EP which will give me a fighting chance tho, especially at opposition in April.

You ought to get a wonderful view thru your 925 Rumbold! Good luck.
